Breast Augmentation

Breast Augmentation – Lucy

July 20, 2018 by

Lucy aged 24 decided to enhance the size of her bust with a Breast Enlargement with Mr Adrian Richards at The Private Clinic.

Lucy had been doing a lot of research before deciding to go ahead with her Breast Augmentation surgery. Through her online research Lucy discovered that there was a clinic local to where she was living at the time so decided to go along for a consultation with Mr Richards where she was able to find out more details about the procedure as well as being able to ask any questions.

Lucy found the consultation very reassuring and instantly felt like she had the found the surgeon that she wanted to work with.

“All the staff at the clinic were so friendly and I felt like no question was too big or too small or too silly everyone was just super friendly and it was great!”

It was a few months after her initial consultation before Lucy decided to visit The Private Clinic again to have a sizing appointment with one of the nurses. This appointment was a great way to Lucy to be able to try out the different sizes of implants and discuss the different profiles, types and placements that would be most appropriate for her to achieve her desired results.

Lucy’s breast enlargement procedure took place at our London Fitzroy Hospital. Arriving a little nervous, Lucy was made to feel welcome by all the staff at the clinic and was seen by Mr Adrian Richards again before going into theatre to go through everything again and ask any last minute questions.

Waking up after the procedure Lucy felt both excited and relived that it all over. She left the hospital on the same day with plenty of painkillers which allowed her to have a comfortable and pain free recovery period.

“There was some soreness and discomfort initially but this was easily managed with painkillers that I was taking regularly. Now 4 weeks on I am not experiencing any soreness or discomfort at all.”

Lucy works as a social media influencer, regularly posting photographs modelling clothes. She wanted to be honest with her following and decided to get them involved with her breast augmentation process by posting a series of videos online.

“I was a little bit nervous about being so open about having a Breast Augmentation but I actually found that so many girls were in a similar situation to me. I had girls coming to me for advice and supporting my decision. It was really lovely that so many people had reached out to me and it was almost like I had formed a little support group.”

After her procedure, Lucy is feeling confident and happy with her results. She had an initial worry about what they were going to feel like but was more than happy to find that they felt natural and almost like she’s always had them.

“My experience with The Private Clinic has been absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t be happier with my results so I would highly recommend them”

The mini boob job boom

April 27, 2016 by

The Sun

THERE are always rumours about which stars have gone under the knife, with very few actually open about having plastic surgery.

Well it could soon be even trickier to spot who’s had a little nip tuck and who’s au naturel, because the latest trend is for barely-there procedures.

That’s right, the super-boosted busts made famous by the likes of Katie Price in her Jordan days are becoming a thing of the past, with stars now much more likely to opt form something subtler.

Apparently, massive implants are now a no-no and instead the A-list are choosing to grow their boobs by just a cup size or so.

In some cases, it’s just the shape they want to change and small implants will allow things to look a little rounder.

Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Adrian Richards works at the Aurora Clinics, part of The Private Clinic Group, and has confirmed this is a growing trend.

He told FEMAIL: “People now are having much smaller breast enlargements, moving away from the trend for very big implants.

“’We see this in the clinic and there’s a trend for the more natural look.

“We’ve analysed our data and in the last two years the average size of implant people go for has reduced by 30cc.”

Although that sounds like a lot, it’s actually only one eighth of a cup size.

That said, the trend is still for smaller implants than have been fashionable over the last few years.

Adrian added: “People are looking for a more natural appearance.

“They’ve realised that as they get older they don’t want to look matronly with bigger breasts.

“They can dress up or down and it’s more flexible, whereas if they’re too big there’s only one option.”

As well as the size of implant, shape and placement is important.

Teardrop ones tend to look the most natural, as do ones which are placed lower in the chest.

This stops them sticking out so much, which is what gives the ‘fake’ look which was once so fashionable.

There is also the option to have them placed under the muscle, which gives a more natural look.

Adrian explains this as the difference between and implant with a sheet over it and one covered with a duvet – the second version would obviously look softer.

Still not convinced? Some celebrities are ditching implants all together and going for fat transfer injections instead.

It’s exactly what it sounds like – you have fat sucked out of one area and use it to plump up your breast, leaving them looking fuller but more natural.

Breast Augmentation – Rebecca

January 4, 2018 by

Rebecca, 34 decided to enhance her appearance with a Breast Enlargement.

After lots of research online Rebecca finally decided to come and visit The Private Clinic with a local clinic nearby to her home it was the perfect option.

Attending her consultation with Mr Adrian Richards, Rebecca felt she was able to fully discuss her concerns and felt listened to by both Mr Richards and his nursing team.

Being interested in fitness and working out, Rebecca was keen to express this passion with Mr Richards who made plans to ensure that the appropriate sized implants and placement were chosen to fit Rebecca’s lifestyle.

“I was so happy with all the information that I was given I decided to book my procedure date then and there!”

Rebecca’s surgery took place at our London Fitzroy hospital where she found everyone very warm and welcoming putting her at ease almost instantly as soon as she walked through the front door.

After the procedure once she felt ready, Rebecca was able to leave the hospital as a day case procedure and was back at home sat eating dinner before she knew it!

The recovery afterwards was as Rebecca described; ‘an emotional rollercoaster’ but once she saw her final results she was more than happy with the transformation.

Now 6 months on Rebecca is back to the gym and loving the results of her Breast Enlargement wearing outfits that previously were hidden at the back of her wardrobe with a new found confidence.

“My experience from start to finish was really enjoyable and I would recommend anyone to come and visit The Private Clinic and I don’t think they will have an experience that differs from mine”

Rise of the MINI boob job

April 26, 2016 by

The Mail Online

The outrageously inflated cleavage synonymous with glamour models and WAGS of the ’90s has fallen out of fashion in recent years in favour of a more athletic look.

So it’s no surprise that when celebrities boost their chests they’re now opting for ‘mini boob jobs’ -subtle implants that take them up a cup size or simply make their breasts appear a little rounder.

Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Adrian Richards of Aurora Clinics part of The Private Clinic confirms that more people are now opting for natural looking implants that will leave people guessing as to whether they’ve had surgery.

Adrian and his clinical lead nurse Aggie Oakley analysed eight celebrities that have recently been seen looking fuller in the bust, and concluded that stars such as Taylor Swift, Miranda Kerr and Jessica Alba appear to have followed the trend for small implants to boost their bra size.

‘People now are having much smaller breast enlargements, moving away from the trend for very big implants,’ Adrian told FEMAIL.

‘We see this in the clinic and there’s a trend for the more natural look. We’ve anaylsed our data and in the last two years the average size of implant people go for has reduced by 30cc.

‘People are looking for a more natural appearance. They’ve realised that as they get older they don’t want to look matronly with bigger breasts.

‘They can dress up or down and it’s more flexible, whereas if they’re too big there’s only one option.’

TAYLOR SWIFT

The singer has always been svelte and willowy, but when she appeared at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in California earlier this month in a black jumpsuit that showed of her side boob, Taylor was looking fuller in the bust.

‘I think she’s definitely had implants, looking at her here with my nurse,’ Adrian said. ‘She’s probably had moderately sized, teardrop shaped implants – what we call a low profile.

‘It refers to how much they come out and how high they sit. With implants you can have taller ones.

‘If you put them on a table they would project higher. Lower profile implants give the more natural look as they’re flatter.

‘Taylor’s figure is what we would call a “gazelle”. You need to design the implant for the body shape.’

JESSICA ALBA

The actress and entrepreneur looked more rounded in the bust when she was snapped in a bikini during a girls’ trip to Hawaii to celebrate her 35th birthday last week.

By comparison her bust was a lot less shapely when she hit the beach in St. Barts back in 2013.

‘We think that’s 100 per cent surgery. I think she definitely has had a small, possibly round implant,’ Adrian said.

‘Her figure is probably quite petite and she’s probably had a really petitie, round implant.

‘You can tell the shape of the breasts is looking a lot rounder in her more recent pictures.

MIRANDA KERR

The former Victoria’s Secret angel has never been shy about flashing the flesh and at this year’s Oscars, a revealing red cutaway gown showed off her chest, which seemed slightly fuller than it did back in 2008.

‘It’s a yes with Miranda. She’s probably had implants under the muscle, which gives a very natural appearance.

‘If someone doesn’t have much body fat and if you pinch the tissue around the nipple and there is less than three centimetres there you will get that round headlight look when you put the implant in.

‘You need padding over it to disguise it. Let’s say you throw a sheet over the implant you will see the outline of it.

‘But if you throw a duvet over it, then it would be much softer.’

NICOLE RICHIE

The reality star turned fashion designer has always been ultra slim, so it was surprising to see her looking fuller in the bust when she attended the Fashion Los Angeles Awards last month.

She wore a black halterneck dress that left little to the imagination and her breasts were noticeably rounder than in 2010 when she showed off her cleavage in a lingerie inspired dress.

‘She could have had a fat transplant, but you would not get that round look. And there’s not much support in that dress.

‘I’m 50/50 as to whether she’s had a small, natural looking implant.’

GWEN STEFANI

The No Doubt singer stepped out wearing an unusual outfit comprising of black fishnet tights and a strapless bra under a suit jacket when she appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert at the start of this month.

The revealing outfit showed that her breasts were looking slightly fuller than they did back in her pop heyday in 2001.

‘We think she definitely has had breast surgery, looking at the size and shape,’ Adrian said. ‘She’s looking a lot fuller at the top in the pictured with the black bra.’

LUCY WATSON

The super slim Made In Chelsea star boasted a quite boyish figure when she first appeared on the E4 reality show.

In one episode when she strutted around her flat in her underwear, it was clear that she had quite small breasts.

However the 25-year-old has been looking a lot more busty in the bikini snaps she’s been posting on Instagram of late.

‘She’s definitely had a breast augmentation in my opinion. You can see it in the picture with the striped bikini definitely.

KENDALL JENNER

The model and reality star showed off her boyish figure by going bra-less under her jacket while promoting he teen novel Rebels: City Of Indra at Bookends Bookstore in June 2014

She looked noticeably fuller in the bust when she attended Coachella in a gold crochet dress earlier this month, but Adrian was unsure if it was down to surgery.

‘It’s hard to say with her. Possibly she’s had small implants. She does look more curvy and womanly. But some people have fat transfer insted of having implants,’ Adrian said.

‘You move fat from elsewhere in the body and inject it into the breasts.

‘She does look bigger in the second picture and it doesn’t look like she’s put weight on. But she’s young so her body shape may still be changing.

‘Maybe she just put on a bit of weight naturally. I would say it’s 50/50 as to whether she’s had something done.’

The most common breast imperfections and how to fix them

August 16, 2016 by

The Daily Mail

Inverted nipples, sagging and asymmetry: The most common breast imperfections and how to fix them.

  • Breasts come in all shapes and sizes but some women are unhappy with certain aspects of their appearance
  • Plastic surgeon Adrian Richards has discussed the most common problems women encounter
  • Dr Richards suggests the best way to correct each issue

From a young age, we’re taught that breasts come in all shapes and sizes and that when it comes to boobs, the notion of normal doesn’t necessarily exist.

However for some of us, certain things we see as imperfections have left us concerned, embarrassed and unwilling to expose ourselves even to those closest to us.

Here Mr Adrian Richards, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Private Clinic of Harley Street, discusses some of the most common concerns women have about their breasts – and how to solve them.

INVERTED NIPPLES
What is it?

Nipple inversion is caused by an imbalance between the inward traction of the milk ducts and the traction of the muscle within the nipple, which essentially pulls the nipple outwards.

If the inward force is greater than the force exerted by the muscle within the nipple, inverted nipples will result.

[…]

Is there a solution?
Firstly, it’s worth checking with your GP to make sure that everything is as it should be. If nipple inversion occurs later in life, it could be a sign of underlying breast pathology or possibly even cancer, so it’s best to check with your doctor to rule out any underlying medical conditions.

SAGGING BREASTS

What is it?
There are two main causes of sagging breasts, also known as breast ptosis: weight loss and childbirth/breastfeeding. In both cases, breasts lose a significant amount of volume, particularly in the upper part of the breast, and the nipples will also lie at a lower position.

[…]

Is there a solution?
Breast uplift surgery, also known as a mastopexy, is similar to a breast reduction in that it works by lifting the nipples and tightening the skin. This procedure – in comparison to a breast reduction where breast tissue is removed – only removes skin, and the breast tissue is preserved and reshaped.

[…]

ENLARGED AREOLAS

What is it?
The areola is the brown/pink area around the nipple. The average diameter of a normal areola is 4-4.5cm, and medical studies have shown that the ideal diameter of the areola should be in the region of 4.7cm (for an average height woman).

[…]

Is there a solution?
Areola reduction surgery can help with either the size or shape of your areolas. The procedure is relatively quick, performed under general or local anaesthetic, and can be performed on both men and women.

[…]

OVERSIZED BREASTS

What is it?
Large breasts can cause women a number of difficulties, including back pain, neck pain, postural problems, exercise difficulty, difficulty in finding clothes that fit and recurrent infections in the fold under the breasts such as impetigo.

[…]

Is there a solution?
Breast reduction, or mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure which can reduce the size of the breasts. It reshapes and reduces large, heavy breasts, improving their appearance and with it reducing back pain and improving posture.

[…]

OVERSIZED NIPPLES

What is it?
Enlarged protuberant nipples can cause embarrassment for both women and men. Typically, those who suffer with oversized nipples avoid wearing tight clothing

[…]

Is there a solution?
A nipple reduction procedure, which can correct overly prominent, wide or puffy nipples, is an option for some women. The procedure is relatively straightforward, performed under local anaesthetic and takes around 20 minutes per nipple.

[…]

TUBEROUS BREASTS

What is it?
Tuberous breasts (also known as tubular or constricted breasts) are an abnormality in the breast shape. Few people realise that this condition is in fact genetic and is characterised by a tightened, narrow base to your breast and a high crease, causing the breasts to look elongated.

[…]

Is there a solution?
The potential treatment options for patients with tubular breasts varies from person to person. For women who have some constriction at the base, but where the nipples are in a relatively normal position, often a breast implant alone is enough to offer a correction

[…]

ASYMMETRICAL BREASTS

What is it?
In reality, no female has entirely symmetrical breasts. Every woman has one breast which is slightly larger or a slightly different shape than the other. For some women, that asymmetry is almost impossible to spot. For others, it’s far easier to spot.

[…]

Is there a solution?
As with the treatment of tuberous breasts, there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to correcting asymmetrical breasts. It may be that a combination of surgical – such as implants or breast reduction – or non-surgical procedures could offer a solution, but that will very much change on a case by case basis.
