Cell enriched fat transfer for breast volumising and reshaping is a revolutionary new treatment which uses nature to create more shapely breasts.
This 2 in 1 procedure allows you to reshape your body - by removing stubborn fat pockets form your abdomen, thighs etc. - and at the same time to add volume and definition to your breasts by transfering the fat removed from the other areas of your body.
Dr. Comins and Dr. Wolf are amongst the first doctors in the UK to be trained in this treatment now available at our clinics in London.

What is Cell enriched fat (ADR cell) transfer for breast?
Stem cell breast augmentation involves the collection of stem cells and endothelial (vascular) cells from adipose (fat) tissue (Adipose Derived stem and Regenerative cells- ADR cells) and the injection of those cells, together with purified fat tissue into the breast. The cells can be readily extracted from fat tissue and are believed to increase survival rate for fat transplantation from one part of the body to another by bringing the necessary oxygen and nutrients to the transplant area. This helps the body to heal, rather than scar. The ADR cells then, over several weeks integrate naturally with the surrounding breast tissue, resulting in more definition and firmer breasts.
Are the cells used in the procedure embryonic?
No. The cells used in cell-enriched cosmetic procedures do not come from embryos. The adult stem and regenerative cells used in the procedure are naturally occurring within fat tissue. These cells are extracted from each patient’s own fat tissue, and then concentrated by using Cytori’s Celution® technology.
Is this treatment right for me?
Cell-Enriched Augmentation is an ideal choice for women who desire fuller, natural breasts, would like to correct breast asymmetry, or are uncomfortable with artificial implants. This procedure provides you with the unique opportunity to reshape your breast while maintaining a soft and natural look. By taking fat from unwanted places on the body, Cell-Enriched Augmentation can simultaneously increase breast size and provide overall contouring for your body while supporting your self-confidence and a healthy body image. The implanted fat becomes a part of your body, continually changing as your body ages and evolves naturally.
What is a different about this treatment?
To date breast augmentation procedures include traditional fat transfer, hyaluronic acid injections (Macrolane) and insertion of bag prosthesis (implants). With Stem cell (ADR cell) augmentation the cells are derived from the patient, therefore there is no concern of foreign body reactions such as tissue rejections and/or encapsulation as sometimes encountered with implants and Macrolane.
Traditional fat transfer is a relatively straight forward treatment using the fat from liposuction. Although traditional fat transfer has been refined over the years, unfortunately this treatment continues to have problems, usually due to the transferred fat breaking down due to its inability to integrate and survive in the breast. This degradation is often significant (up to 70% of the transplanted fat) thereby resulting in unpredictable results, duration and often calcified hard lumps and fatty cysts.
With this new treatment the transplanted stem and vascular cells within the transplanted cells grow into new fat and blood vessels. Thus integrating naturally into the surrounding breast tissue. This results in higher retention than traditional fat tranfer.
What are cell-enriched fat transfers?
Fat grafting has a long history, over 100 years, and is a commonly performed procedure in plastic and reconstructive surgery practices. Fat has many advantages over other materials: it is your own tissue, easily accessible and available, and can produce natural-looking results for patients.
Cell-enriched cosmetic surgery enables surgeons to enrich the graft with the patient’s own adipose-derived stem and regenerative cells (ADRCs). These cells are believed to promote fat graft survival by bringing necessary oxygen and nutrients. Clinical data indicates the efficacy and advantages of this new technique.
Is the procedure safe?
Clinical data has demonstrated that cell-enriched cosmetic procedures are safe.
What are possible complications?
Possible complications include the risks associated with the medications and methods used during surgery and the risks associated with any surgical procedure, including traditional fat grafting.
What happens during the treatment?
Both Vaser liposuction and stem cells administration are performed under local anesthetic as day surgery. Typical treatments take 2-3 hours.
A small amount of fat is taken during the initial stages of the Vaser treatment. The ADR cells are then extracted from the fat by a process of washing, enzymatic digestion and filtration using the Celution processing system (which takes about 90 minutes). During this time the Vaser treatment is completed. Following the Vaser treatment, the ADR cells and refined fat are then administered under local aesthetic into and around the breast with a small needle and canula. This is essentially the same technique as used with Macrolane.
Are there any side effects?
Most people report soreness around the treatment area for 1-3 days to an extent where we do advise rest, thereafter your may experience a dull background ache for 1-4 weeks. You may have bruising. You may also experience some swelling, especially during the first few days. You will be able to leave the clinic straight after your treatment.
What aftercare is required?
For the breasts, a small waterproof dressing is applied over the injection site. This can be removed after ten days. To reduce any chance of infection you will be given some antibiotics to take for five days after your treatment. You may want to rest at home for two days due to the discomfort in the treatment area. You are advised to avoid any vigorous sporting activities for three weeks. A good support bra (or Lycra shorts for buttock treatments) should be worn for three weeks day and night and then during vigorous sporting activity for two weeks.
For the Vaser, you need to wear a compression garment for three weeks. We advise home rest for 2-3 days and no strenuous exercise for 3 weeks.
Does this treatment influence breast cancer?
There is no evidence linking the implantation of stem and regenerative cells in the breast to the development of breast cancer, nor does the procedure impede the diagnosis of cancer in the future. With access to advanced radiological screening techniques, radiologists can now determine the difference between any calcifications that may form as the result of the procedure and a tumor.
Does this increase the risk of health problems?
There is no evidence that the implantation of stem and regenerative cells is in any way linked to significant health problems.
Who performs the treatment?
Dr Mike Comins - President of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (BACD) - is a respected senior member of the medical community who specialises in cosmetic medicine and minor surgical procedures. His experience of cosmetic procedures scans more than 10 years.
Dr. Dennis Wolf is an experienced and approved Macrolane VRF Physicians for breast reshaping and volume restoration and has vast expertise in VASER fat removal treatments.
Dr Mike Comins and Dr Dennis Wolf are highly experienced in the techniques required for the stem cell breast augmentation procedure and are amongst the first UK doctors to be trained in this innovative procedure.
