What is a rhinoplasty?

Firstly let’s take a moment to discuss what rhinoplasty is, in order for you to decide if this is the treatment for you.

A rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to correct or reconstruct the shape of the nose. It is ideal for enhancing the appearance of the nose, but it is also used to repair nasal functions and correct a deviated septum.

Types of Rhinoplasty we offer

Standard rhinoplasty – This is a full nose correction of the bridge, nose tip and nostrils (alar bases)

Septo-rhinoplasty – If you suffer from snoring, difficulty sleeping, frequent nose bleeds and repeated sinus infections then you may have what’s known as a deviated septum. If this is the case then you would be more suited to a septo-rhinoplasty which is still a full nose correction but includes the alteration of the cartilage partition in the middle of your nose to help reduce the symptoms of a deviated septum.

Rhino-tip – This is just a correction of the tip of the nose and the nostrils (alar bases)

There is also the option of an open or closed procedure but this will be on your surgeon’s discretion.

Open Rhinoplasty – Incisions are made between the nostrils.

Closed Rhinoplasty – Small incisions will be made inside the nostrils.
