Dr Khan graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) before undertaking extensive surgical training within the West Yorkshire Deanery. He later completed speciality training in General Practice and became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
