Nose to Mouth Lines
Nose to mouth lines are the lines or folds that run from both sides of your nose down to the corners of your mouth they are also known as laughter lines and nasolabial folds.
The area around your mouth and nose is delicate and as it ages fine lines, wrinkles and permanent creases begin to appear which can cause you to look older and unhappy which is often referred to as the marionette look with the downturned appearance of the mouth.
The main causes of these lines are unfortunately just a pure act of ageing with your skin losing elasticity and losing fat. The natural movement of the muscles in your lips and around your mouth when you smile, talk or kiss, for example, can cause creases which over a period of time can become permanent. Other factors that can affect these lines include smoking and sun exposure.

The most common treatment for nose to mouth lines is dermal filler. Dermal filler contains hyaluronic acid which is found naturally in the body resulting in virtually no side effects or downtime.
Dermal Filler can be injected into the nose to mouth lines which then works by hydrating and increasing volume to the skin correcting the lines and creases giving a smoother and lifted appearance.

Our Pearl treatment is a form of Laser Skin Resurfacing that is suitable for treating a range of conditions including lines and wrinkles. The laser essentially removes part of the top layer of skin by creating a number of tiny laser holes. The remaining surrounding skin cells are then encouraged to start rapidly healing which stimulates the production of new collagen which smooths and tightens the skin again. You will continue to produce new collagen for up to 6 months post-treatment.
Our Pearl treatment is available in three different forms:
- Pearl Laser Resurfacing – Pearl Laser Skin Resurfacing treatment treats the top layers of skin and deeper layers too. The treatment works to improve the overall quality of the skin by targeting the layers beneath promoting new collagen production.
- Pearl Fractional Laser Resurfacing – Only exposes a small area of the skin. ideal for treating deeper lines and wrinkles. The skin is encouraged to form a protective layer and it’s the body’s healing process that is responsible for the treatment’s incredible results.
- Pearl Fusion – Pearl Fusion is a combination of the Pearl Resurfacing and Pearl Fractional treatments mentioned above. The face will first be treated with the Pearl laser and the Pearl Fractional laser will target areas requiring more aggressive treatment such areas of deep lines and wrinkles.
Profhilo can be used to treat nose to mouth lines, it is similar to dermal fillers in that it contains hyaluronic acid, but unlike dermal fillers, it does not add volume to the skin. Profhilo is an injectable treatment that works overtime to restore the body’s natural level of hyaluronic acid resulting in tighter skin with a rejuvenated appearance. Profhilo works to cure wrinkles rather than fill them resulting in a more natural level of rejuvenation.
Profhilo treatment for nose to mouth lines is available at London Harley Street, Northampton, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Buckinghamshire close to Oxford, High Wycombe, Aylesbury and Beaconsfield.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy is a natural skin rejuvenation and restoration treatment that works by using a concentrated dose of your own blood plasma to stimulate your skin to repair itself.
Also known as the vampire face lift, the treatment takes around an hour to perform and involves taking a sample of your own blood and then injecting the plasma back into your face to promote increased collagen production resulting in an improved appearance to nose to mouth lines as well as an improvement in your skin’s texture and tone.
