What are perfect breasts look like? Perfectly Shaped Breast

We see many patients who come to see us wanting perfect breasts.

But what are the characteristics of perfect boobs?

The idea of perfect breasts is going to be different for everyone. Many factors contribute to achieving the most perfect breast appearance which includes – ideal breast symmetry, natural breast contour, proportionate breast size, optimal nipple placement and even breast firmness.

It is also important to consider individual preferences and what others may perceive their perfect breast size to be. Some people may prefer a larger, rounder and more voluptuous appearance whereas others prefer a smaller, delicate, more natural-looking breast size.

At The Private Clinic, we spend a lot of time with you to advise on the most ideal breast implant shape, size and profile as well as looking at breast implant placement to help you achieve your desired results. We also ensure that you have realistic expectations of what can be created with breast surgery.

45:55 Ratio – The ideal breast proportion

Studies from cosmetic surgeons were published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons have discovered that an ideal breast proportion is 45:55. This means that 45% of the breast should be above the nipple with 55% below the nipple.

A study was carried out where researchers used digitally created photos of women with various breast sizes. Each woman had 4 different photos that had their breasts modified to fit 4 different rations (35:65, 45:55, 50:50 and 50:45). A mixture of people that included both genders, various ethnicities and 53 plastic surgeons were then shown the photos and asked to pick their favourites.

Overall, the 45:55 ratio was rated as the most attractive across all the groups surveyed. The 50:50 ratio was the second most preferred, though not very closely. This suggests that the majority of people felt more natural-looking breasts with gently sloping upper fullness were deemed perfect in comparison to larger fuller breasts.

Is the 45:55 ratio best for me?

The 45:55 ratio is a good ratio to work with when it comes to planning your breast surgery, but it is not right for every woman and some women may find that a different variation works best for them to ideally compliment their frame. This is why it is important to have a good discussion with your surgeon to establish ideal breast dimensions and shapes that will help you to plan how to achieve your desire for the perfect breasts.

How to achieve perfect breasts?

There are a variety of different breast surgery options that can help you change the size, shape, and appearance of your breasts.

Breast Enlargement

Breast enlargement surgery, also known as breast augmentation or boob job is a cosmetic surgery procedure that aims to enlarge the size of the breast. A breast augmentation procedure uses implants to increase breast volume. There are a lot of variations with breast enlargement procedures including different implant types, sizes, shapes and profiles and different implant placements within the breast including above or below the muscle.

You could also have a Breast Fat Transfer procedure which instead uses fat taken from your own body to put back into the breasts to increase their size. A hybrid breast augmentation procedure uses a combination of fat transfer and implants.

A breast lift, uplift, or mastopexy works to lift and reshape the breast. Breast sagging is typical of ageing, but lifestyle factors like weight loss and pregnancy can contribute to sagging of the breast.

There are a variety of breast uplift techniques that enable surgeons to change the shape of your breast and lift it to a higher, perkier position as desired. The areola and nipple can also be relocated to a higher position.
