What is VASER Liposuction?
VASER (Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance) uses the most advanced ultrasound technology to breakdown fat cells.
The ultrasound energy only targets fat cells, leaving all surrounding tissues undamaged, and involves minimal downtime. Our experience tells us that VASER Lipo is the most effective minimally invasive method of removing unwanted fat from your body, creating a defined and sculpted area.

The Problem
Some areas of the body are predisposed to store fat. If you have certain ‘problem’ areas or stubborn fat pockets that you just can’t shift no matter how much you exercise, VASER Liposuction could be the answer for you.
The Vaser Liposuction Treatment
VASER Liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure, performed under local anaesthetic. A small probe is used to transmit the sound energy and liquefy fat cells prior to removal through a gentle suction process. It is a less invasive procedure than traditional Liposuction.
The Vaser Liposuction Results
Improved overall shape and contours of your body. VASER Lipo results are very soft and natural looking. For those who prefer a more athletic, sculpted look, VASER Hi-Def or VASER Mid-Def may be better options.
Many patients see results straight away. However, the improved overall appearance of the treated areas will become prominent within a few months following the procedure.
Vaser Lipo Procedure Downtime
The VASER Liposuction procedure involves minimal downtime and you can get back to your daily routine almost immediately. The small incisions made during the procedure will not require stitches.
However, because there may be some bruising and swelling, we advise that you wait a couple of weeks before you hit the gym or do any rigorous physical activity.
The aftercare regime following both VASER Hi-Def and VASER Mid-Def is important and does require some commitment from you. Further information will be given about this during your pre-treatment consultation with the Doctor.

Some of your questions answered
Does VASER Lipo hurt?
Both VASER lipo and MicroLipo are carried out under local anaesthetic, so you’ll feel no pain during the treatment.
Because VASER Hi-Def takes longer (around 2-4 hours) than traditional VASER Liposuction, VASER Hi Def is often performed under local anaesthesia with IV sedation – you remain awake but in a state of deep relaxation. You will be able to understand and respond to questions. However, time will appear to pass very quickly and you will not recall much of what happened. Many people remember nothing at all. So it may, indeed, appear as if you were “asleep” during the procedure.
How long does the Vaser Lipo treatment take?
This will depend on the number and size of areas to be treated, but generally VASER Lipo takes between 1 and 2 hours.
What happens if I gain weight after the Vaser procedure?
Although it is highly recommenced to try and maintain your weight after your treatment, it is possible to gain up to 3-4 kilos before you notice any obvious change in the treated area. With VASER Lipo and MicroLipo, superficial fat and fat cells are removed, and as the body doesn’t readily make new fat cells past puberty, the results are more or less permanent. Any mild weight fluctuations are therefore not noticed as the extra fat is either immediately processed or evenly distributed around you body.
Are there any side effects of VASER Lipo and MicroLipo procedures?
With both VASER Lipo and MicroLipo procedures, there will be some swelling and bruising. However this is considerably less that you’d experience with traditional liposuction. We’ll give you a special compression garment to wear after treatment which will help minimise swelling and bruising.
