The Mail Online

The outrageously inflated cleavage synonymous with glamour models and WAGS of the ’90s has fallen out of fashion in recent years in favour of a more athletic look.

So it’s no surprise that when celebrities boost their chests they’re now opting for ‘mini boob jobs’ -subtle implants that take them up a cup size or simply make their breasts appear a little rounder.

Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Adrian Richards of Aurora Clinics part of The Private Clinic confirms that more people are now opting for natural looking implants that will leave people guessing as to whether they’ve had surgery.

Adrian and his clinical lead nurse Aggie Oakley analysed eight celebrities that have recently been seen looking fuller in the bust, and concluded that stars such as Taylor Swift, Miranda Kerr and Jessica Alba appear to have followed the trend for small implants to boost their bra size.

‘People now are having much smaller breast enlargements, moving away from the trend for very big implants,’ Adrian told FEMAIL.

‘We see this in the clinic and there’s a trend for the more natural look. We’ve anaylsed our data and in the last two years the average size of implant people go for has reduced by 30cc.

‘People are looking for a more natural appearance. They’ve realised that as they get older they don’t want to look matronly with bigger breasts.

‘They can dress up or down and it’s more flexible, whereas if they’re too big there’s only one option.’

TAYLOR SWIFT

The singer has always been svelte and willowy, but when she appeared at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in California earlier this month in a black jumpsuit that showed of her side boob, Taylor was looking fuller in the bust.

‘I think she’s definitely had implants, looking at her here with my nurse,’ Adrian said. ‘She’s probably had moderately sized, teardrop shaped implants – what we call a low profile.

‘It refers to how much they come out and how high they sit. With implants you can have taller ones.

‘If you put them on a table they would project higher. Lower profile implants give the more natural look as they’re flatter.

‘Taylor’s figure is what we would call a “gazelle”. You need to design the implant for the body shape.’

JESSICA ALBA

The actress and entrepreneur looked more rounded in the bust when she was snapped in a bikini during a girls’ trip to Hawaii to celebrate her 35th birthday last week.

By comparison her bust was a lot less shapely when she hit the beach in St. Barts back in 2013.

‘We think that’s 100 per cent surgery. I think she definitely has had a small, possibly round implant,’ Adrian said.

‘Her figure is probably quite petite and she’s probably had a really petitie, round implant.

‘You can tell the shape of the breasts is looking a lot rounder in her more recent pictures.

MIRANDA KERR

The former Victoria’s Secret angel has never been shy about flashing the flesh and at this year’s Oscars, a revealing red cutaway gown showed off her chest, which seemed slightly fuller than it did back in 2008.

‘It’s a yes with Miranda. She’s probably had implants under the muscle, which gives a very natural appearance.

‘If someone doesn’t have much body fat and if you pinch the tissue around the nipple and there is less than three centimetres there you will get that round headlight look when you put the implant in.

‘You need padding over it to disguise it. Let’s say you throw a sheet over the implant you will see the outline of it.

‘But if you throw a duvet over it, then it would be much softer.’

NICOLE RICHIE

The reality star turned fashion designer has always been ultra slim, so it was surprising to see her looking fuller in the bust when she attended the Fashion Los Angeles Awards last month.

She wore a black halterneck dress that left little to the imagination and her breasts were noticeably rounder than in 2010 when she showed off her cleavage in a lingerie inspired dress.

‘She could have had a fat transplant, but you would not get that round look. And there’s not much support in that dress.

‘I’m 50/50 as to whether she’s had a small, natural looking implant.’

GWEN STEFANI

The No Doubt singer stepped out wearing an unusual outfit comprising of black fishnet tights and a strapless bra under a suit jacket when she appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert at the start of this month.

The revealing outfit showed that her breasts were looking slightly fuller than they did back in her pop heyday in 2001.

‘We think she definitely has had breast surgery, looking at the size and shape,’ Adrian said. ‘She’s looking a lot fuller at the top in the pictured with the black bra.’

LUCY WATSON

The super slim Made In Chelsea star boasted a quite boyish figure when she first appeared on the E4 reality show.

In one episode when she strutted around her flat in her underwear, it was clear that she had quite small breasts.

However the 25-year-old has been looking a lot more busty in the bikini snaps she’s been posting on Instagram of late.

‘She’s definitely had a breast augmentation in my opinion. You can see it in the picture with the striped bikini definitely.

KENDALL JENNER

The model and reality star showed off her boyish figure by going bra-less under her jacket while promoting he teen novel Rebels: City Of Indra at Bookends Bookstore in June 2014

She looked noticeably fuller in the bust when she attended Coachella in a gold crochet dress earlier this month, but Adrian was unsure if it was down to surgery.

‘It’s hard to say with her. Possibly she’s had small implants. She does look more curvy and womanly. But some people have fat transfer insted of having implants,’ Adrian said.

‘You move fat from elsewhere in the body and inject it into the breasts.

‘She does look bigger in the second picture and it doesn’t look like she’s put weight on. But she’s young so her body shape may still be changing.

‘Maybe she just put on a bit of weight naturally. I would say it’s 50/50 as to whether she’s had something done.’
