What is a good size breast implant?
It is important to remember that finding the best breast implant size is a personal journey, and it should not be based solely on what appears best on others.
It is good to have an idea of your desired breast enlargement surgery result, but understanding that the method to get you there may be different is important.
Breast implant sizes will look different on everyone, what works best for one patient, may not be the best size for you. This is why we offer unlimited sizing appointments for all our patients. This is to help you decide on not only the breast implant size but also the best implant type, shape, profile and position.
We have put together a selection of photos showing different breast implant sizes below.

500cc Breast Implants, 600cc Breast Implants and 800cc Breast Implants
Implants of these sizes are very large and are not often recommended. In the vast majority of all breast enlargement cases, the patient is able to achieve the result they want, if not better with implants that range from 200cc to 400cc.
Larger implants do come with some risks which include aesthetic concerns, pain and often the need for additional surgery in the future.
What size implant will give me a D cup?
Implant sizes are different from bra sizes. What resulted in a D cup for one patient, might not be the same for another. Cup sizes are predominately for shops only. Surgeons may be able to suggest which implant size could increase your cup size by 1 or 2 cups, but they will not be able to guarantee a cup size.
As a guide, we suggest that 130-150cc is the equivalent of 1 cup size.

How do you size for implants?
Selecting your recommended implants does not rely solely on what cup size you desire to be. We also need to go by your chest measurements. Your surgeon will take multiple measurements of your chest, including breast height and width. This will help them to recommend the best implant for you, based on your own body’s natural measurements.
How long will my breast implants last for?
Your breast implants, on average, have a lifespan of 10-15 years. Find out more about the lifespan of implants in our blog.
Summary
In summary, there is not one best size of breast implant as there are a variety of factors that will determine which implant is the best sized for you.
All patients at The Private Clinic are provided with a breast implant sizing session with their surgeon.
Some surgeons at The Private Clinic offer patients a 3D Crisalix scan. This allows you to see how your chosen implant may look on you digitally. However, this is only meant to be an estimate of your postoperative size and not a guarantee on how you will look post-surgery.
