Simple and safe treatment for facial veins

Unsightly facial veins can undermine your confidence and even impact the way you lead your life. Yet feeling self-conscious or worrying about covering up the affected areas could be a thing of the past.

The Private Clinic successfully treats hundreds of patients every year.

Unlike other laser machines, the CoolGlide is suitable for most skin types, including black, Asian and tanned skin.

Your Questions Answered

Which areas can be treated?

Thread veins are tiny veins that appear most commonly on the cheeks and nose. Small thread veins are red, but larger ones look purplish. They are also commonly known as spider veins, broken veins and capillary veins.

Normally, the tiny veins in the skin are invisible, but in some people they expand and show through the skin. One possible cause is too much exposure to the sun over the years. Another is pregnancy or oestrogen treatment. Thread veins are more obvious after mid-life, when the skin becomes thinner and loses some of its collagen.

How does the CooGlide work?

CoolGlide deliver pulses of light energy that cause the blood within the vein to coagulate. The blood flow is diverted to veins deeper below the skin’s surface, where it should be.

Does the treatment hurt?

Most patients experience a slight stinging sensation as the pulses of light energy are delivered through the hand piece. Although no local anaesthetic is usually required, some patients opt to use a topical anaesthetic prior to treatment. Following the treatment, the pain is minimal to non-existent.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment taken between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the area treated.

How many treatments will I need?

Often patients find that a course of 3 treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary may vary depending on the number, colour, and size of the vessels being treated.

Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, your final permanent results may be apparent after several months.

How long will the effects last?

CoolGlide reduces the appearance of the targeted veins permanently.

Are there any side effects?

Although many patients report few, if any, side effects, those most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin. These effects typically last less than 24 hours. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas exposed to the sun.

Is there any downtime?

No. Patients can resume normal activities immediately.

Treatments start from £250 for the face. Our mission is to offer the latest treatments at the most competitive prices – we deliver Harley Street Service at High Street prices.
