If you become pregnant after having a breast augmentation procedure then your breasts will react as normal to pregnancy which can include increasing in size. Your mammary glands will enlarge and swell during pregnancy preparing for breast feeding which can stretch the breast tissue and surrounding skin. Once you have finished breastfeeding the mammary glands will shrink back to their former size however, in some cases sagging or stretched skin may become apparent.
We have a large amount of women at The Private Clinic who have had breast augmentation surgery and gone on to become pregnant with very little change occurring to their results. Everyone’s body will react differently. Our expert surgical team will be able to advise you on your options if you are left feeling unsatisfied post-pregnancy.
