There is a couple of different incision techniques for a breast lift and enlargement procedure. Most procedures are performed with a lollipop or anchor incision.
- A lollipop incision goes around the areola and down the breast.
- An anchor incision goes around the areola, down the breast and along the breast crease.
Your scars will appear red for at least the first 6 weeks following your procedure. After 6 weeks, your surgeon will be able to advise on scar care and over the next year they will gradually begin to fade.
The type of incision used in your procedure will be decided by your surgeon, they will be able to discuss this in more detail during your consultation.
