Q. Does it cost any money to have a Nurse assessment?
A. No. It is free to be seen and assessed. Simply call our helpline on 0800 599 9911 and book your consultation.
Q. Will I have to travel to London or Manchester to be assessed?
A. No. Our team hold regular clinics in your area for assessments to be done. You would however, have to travel to have your surgery performed. This would mean a single trip to have the procedure done.
Q. Will I feel under any pressure to have surgery done?
A. Absolutely not! We are here to advise you about your problem and the solutions to your individual problem. We will explain all aspects of the procedures, and then the decision is down to you.
Q. Can I bring my partner along with me?
A. Yes. We prefer you to bring your partner along, it help with the assessment and it is nice for you to have some support. Although, not everyone wants a partner along. Either way is fine with us.
Q. How soon can I have the surgery done?
A. Naturally, it depends on lots of things, but the rule of thumb is two to three weeks from consultation. This is sometimes negotiable, and we will always do our best to fit in with your diary and timetable where possible.
Q. Can I pay by credit card or debit card?
A. Yes.
Q. Will the Surgeon explain the potential success of my procedure?
A. Yes. This is important. The Surgeon will see you, assess you, and then discuss his findings with you. The procedure will then take place, and will be performed by the Consultant Surgeon.
Q. Who do I contact after the procedure if I have any questions?
A. You will be given written relevant contact details prior to discharge. However, we have over 25 years of experience in these procedures so we should have answered any questions that you may experience. Of course, we are always happy to help and advise.
Q. Will my voice change after the procedure?
A. No. It will not.
Q. Will I be able to swallow ok after the procedure?
A. Yes. We will have you drinking water prior to leaving the clinic.
Q. Will my friends know that I have had the procedure done?
A. No. Not unless you tell them, or they notice you have not kept them awake all night with your nocturnal rumblings!
