The problem: Deeper lines and wrinkles require a more intensive treatment to visibly improve their appearance. However, not everyone wants to opt for surgery with its associated risks and lengthy downtime – this is where Pearl Laser Skin Resurfacing comes in!
The treatment: Pearl is the latest generation of skin resurfacing technology. It is the most effective laser skin treatment for lines, wrinkles, sun damaged skin, and uneven skin tone without the lengthy downtime associated with traditional Erbium and C02 laser procedures.
The results: After treatment the texture of the skin is visibly smoother, while lines and wrinkles on the face, neck, upper chest and hands are dramatically reduced. Some of our patients have stopped using anti-aging creams and moisturizer after having a skin laser resurfacing treatment.
Downtime: Depending on the treatment, full recovery will take between 5 and 8 days.
Our team: We are the UK’s leading non-invasive cosmetic group and have some of the most experienced doctors and nurses working with us. In order to achieve the best results and minimise the risks of unwanted side effects it’s essential that laser practitioners have a deep understanding of the different skin types and the advanced techniques used in this procedure. Our doctors are unmatched in terms of their skill and experience in laser technology and we treat more patients than any other clinics in the UK.
We have been recommanded on TATLER 2011 Guide to Beauty and Cosmetic Surgery.
Some of your questions answered
What does Laser resurfacing involve?
We offer two types of treatment – Pearl and Pearl Fractional.
Pearl – The practitioner guides the laser over the whole face, removing the top layer of the epidermis and heating a layer of tissue below it. It is used to improve the appearance of superficial lines and sunspots.
Pearl Fractional – This laser penetrates deeper into the skin and is used to target specific areas of the face and deeper wrinkles.
Pearl Fusion – This is a combination of the two procedures. Pearl is used first to improve the whole texture of the face and then Pearl Fractional is used to target deeper wrinkles.
Does the treatment hurt?
The treatment feels like a series of brief pinches, and on a scale on 1 to 10 with 10 representing pain, most people say it feels like a 2 or 3. An anaesthetic cream will be applied before treatment to make you as comfortable as possible
How long does the treatment take?
Approximately 20 minutes for a full face.
How soon will I see results?
After 3-4 days the top layer of skin peels off revealing new, healthy, younger skin underneath.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients will see excellent results after just 1 session.
Are there any side effects?
After treatment, your skin will look as though it has been sunburned. You will need to keep it well moisturised for 3-4 days and can start wearing make-up again on day 3.
