With over 1000 procedures performed to date, The Private Clinic is the UK leading authority in minimally invasive procedures for fat removal and body contouring.
Our doctors have performed more Laser lipo (so called Smartlipo) and Vaser liposuction procedures than any other UK doctor.
We are the official training centre for Vaser lipo and one of very few clinics in the UK to be certified in Vaser High Definition. Despite many doctors claiming to perform Vaser High Definition, only a handful of doctors are trained in the technique.
If you have body areas that are predisposed to store fat and, even with rigorous diet and exercise, those unwanted bulges persist, the VASER offer you a safe, less invasive alternative to liposuction.
Already VASER Lipo has been the choice for thousands of women.

What is VASER Lipo and how does it compare to traditional Liposuction?
VASER Lipo is the latest technology for fat removal. It is less invasive than traditional liposuction and is performed under local anaesthetic. A small probe transmits ultrasound energy to break up the fatty tissues. The liquefied fat is then removed through a gentle suction process.
What distinguishes the VASER is its ability to differentiate targeted fat from other important tissues - such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissues - which are left intact.
Advantages over traditional liposuction:
- No need of general anaesthetic
- Limited downtime - go home immediately after the procedure and back to work in a few days
- Less scarring, less bruising
- Reduced risk of irregularities
- The procedure stimulates collagen production and tightening of the skin, while Liposuction may occasionally results in sagging skin
What are the advantages of Vaser Lipo over Smartlipo?
SmartLipo is a term commonly used in reference to an older technology for fat removal, which involved melting the fat with a laser probe, without aspiration (suction) after the procedure. The melted fat was left in the body so that it would be slowly eliminated by the body natural mechanisms. It would have therefore taken 4-5 months to see any results and the fat reduction was often minimal and far below the patients’ expectations. Smartlipo results were not satisfactory for both patients and practitioners; therefore this technology became less and less popular and has been nowadays almost abandoned.
Even the latest version of the Smartlipo machine, the so called SmartLipo with aspiration - introduced in 2008 to overcome the above limitations - is not capable of providing as good results as the Vaser.
Not only the Vaser is less invasive as it differentiates targeted fat from other important tissues - such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissues - but it is also more effective as it allows for greater volumes of fat to be removed, up to 2.5 litres, and has a shorter procedure time than SmartLipo.
Our doctors have performed thousands of procedures for fat removal. They are very familiar and have used all the above technologies and are therefore capable to advice which one is most suitable for you.
What is VASER Hi Def?
Assisted High Definition LipoSculpture, or VASER Hi DefTM is an advanced body sculpting technique. The procedure creates a more sculpted, athletic appearance than traditional VASER by precisely removing both superficial and deep fat from around muscle groups to enhance the visibility of the underlying musculature.
VASER Hi Def can be performed on multiple body areas but on women tends to concentrate on the buttocks, upper thighs, small of back, love handles and the abdomen.
We are one of very few UK clinics to be certified in Vaser Hi-Def. Remember only a handful of doctors are trained in this specific technique.
Am I suitable?
Vaser can help remove stubborn localised pockets of fat. However, it should not be considered a weight-loss procedure. If you are in good health, follow a sensible diet and you wish to lose stubborn pockets of fat, Vaser lipo is ideal for you.
Does the treatment hurt?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you will feel no pain during treatment.
How long does the treatment take?
It depends on how many and how big the areas you’re having treated, but generally between 1 and 2 hours.
How soon will I see results?
Often results are visible immediately but will improve further over the following months.
Once you have fat removed, it is gone and, assuming a healthy lifestyle of proper diet and exercise, it will not return.
Are there any side effects?
Overall Vaser has a very good safety track record and it has been a huge success in the US for over 4 years.
Downtime is minimal and you can resume normal activities almost immediately, although it is best to avoid vigorous physical activity for one to two weeks.
Any swelling and bruising is considerably less than what would be expected with traditional liposuction.
After treatment, patients wear special compression garments to help minimise bruising and swelling.
How much does the treatment cost?
Treatments start at £2300 for small areas, but prices vary depending on how many areas and how big the areas to be treated are. The exact price can only be properly determined after your assessment.
Please be aware that only a few physicians have the level of experience required and advanced techniques can significantly improve results. Our doctors have performed the highest number of Vaser procedures in the UK.
