Your Questions Answered

What is Restylane?

Restylane is an injectable form of hyaluronic acid specially formulated for the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid is naturally found in the connective tissue of our skin and along with collagen forms the building blocks of healthy tissues. By replenishing nature’s supply of hyaluronic acid, Restylane increases chin and cheek definition, to give a more defined shape to the face by restoring lost volume, creating a mid face lift.

Restylane SubQ is an alternative to permanent cheek implants which can be problematic as they sometimes cause infection or move, creating asymmetry in the face. Although fat can be used to transfer into the face and add volume, Restylane SubQ is the only method available to achieve a similar result without the need for surgery.

Why Restylane?

Restylane is safe: robust clinical evidence spanning over 10 years.
Restylane is natural: Restylane’s hyaluronic acid is unique because it resembles closely the skin’s own hyaluronic acid in the skin. This reduces the risks of inflammatory reactions. Restylane does not affect facial expression or facial movement.

Restylane is long lasting but not permanent: Restylane gives you flexibility and control over your looks. Because your face changes shape as you age, you want to avoid a permanent look you might regret in years to come.

Restylane is non-animal: In contrast to some other hyaluronic acid-based products, the hyaluronic acid in Restylane is not extracted from animals. This means there is no risk of transmitting disease or eliciting allergic reactions.

How does the treatment work?

Restylane SubQ is injected directly into the skin in small amounts by an ultrafine needle. The gel produces volume under the skin, which is lifted up and smoothed out.

Which areas can be treated?
