Your Questions Answered

What is Restylane

Restylane is the most popular facial filler in the world today and has been used in over 3 million treatments.Restylane Lipp is specially formulated for the lips in order to provide a soft and natural fullness and sculpt the lips to improve shape and definition. It is an injectable form of hyaluronic acid a substance that occurs naturally in the body.

By replenishing nature’s supply of hyaluronic acid, RESTYLANE revitalizes and plumps up the lips.

Why Restylane?

Restylane is safe: robust clinical evidence spanning over 10 years.
Restylane is natural: Restylane’s hyaluronic acid is unique because it resembles closely the skin’s own hyaluronic acid in the skin. This reduces the risks of inflammatory reactions. Restylane does not affect facial expression or facial movement.

Restylane is long lasting but not permanent: Restylane gives you flexibility and control over your looks. Because your face changes shape as you age, you want to avoid a permanent look you might regret in years to come.

Restylane is non-animal: In contrast to some other hyaluronic acid-based products, the hyaluronic acid in Restylane is not extracted from animals. This means there is no risk of transmitting disease or eliciting allergic reactions if you are sensitive to common foods, such as chicken and eggs.

How does the treatment work?

Restylane Lipp is injected directly into the lips in small amounts by an ultrafine needle. The gel produces volume and shape to the treated area.

Does the treatment hurt?

Some people may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort. A local anaesthetic cream is often used. Another form of anaesthesia, a dental bloc, is used to numb the area when enhancing lips.

Is it safe?

More than 10 million treatments have been carried out since the launch of Restylane in 1996.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment generally takes less than 30 minutes.

How soon will I see results?

Restylane works instantly so you will see the results straightaway.

How long will the effects last?

One of the great advantages of Restylane is that the effects are long lasting but not permanent so that you are always in control of your looks. For Lipp enhancement a follow-up treatment is normally needed in about 6 months. However results may vary depending on many factors, such as skin type, lifestyle, age.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are very few if any. Reactions include redness, swelling, tenderness at the injection site. Inflammatory reactions may last for up to two weeks in rare cases. After a lip enhancement, your lips may be swollen for several days.

Is there any downtime?

No. You can go back to work immediately after work.

How much does it cost?

From £300.

Who performs the treatment?

The treatment will be carried out by our nurse practitioners who have several years of experience in this field.
