No creams, no knife - just Juvéderm

Juvéderm is the first of a new category of dermal fillers proven to last up to 12 months. It is also the first of its kind to contain an anaesthetic to make the experience more comfortable.

Juvéderm comes in three formulations in order to meet the requirements of each client.

Juvéderm ® ULTRA 2 erases moderate lines, especially those around the lips and corners of the eyes and those very close to the surface of the skin.

Juvéderm ® ULTRA 3 smoothes wrinkles between the nose and corner of the mouth and around lips. it can be used very subtly to plump out lips in order to maintain a youthful smile.

Juvéderm ® ULTRA 4 works on the most noticeable folds and lines, and improves the contour of the face.

During your free consultation one of our expert practitioner will assess your skin and advice you on which product is best for you.

Your Questions Answered

What is Juvederm?

Juvéderm® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. It is injected under the skin to instantly restore the skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).

How does the treatment work?

The transparent Juvederm gel is injected with a syringe into the mid- to deep dermis of your face. The dermis is the subsurface skin layer that contains connective tissue, nerve endings, sweat and oil glands, and blood vessels.

Which areas can be treated?

  • Deep folds between the nose and mouth
  • Folds around the corners of the mouth
  • Wrinkles on the cheeks and around the chin
  • Sunken cheeks
  • Loose skin that lacks elasticity
  • It can be used to plump out lips

Does the treatment hurt?

As Juvederm actually contains local anaesthetic, the treatment is more comfortable than with other dermal fillers. The use of topical anaesthetic is not always necessary and Juvederm can be used in the lip without a dental block.

Is it safe?

Juvederm is a long-lasting gel that, once injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle, lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated. Similar to one of the body’s own natural substances (hyaluronic acid), it is a completely safe treatment.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment generally takes 30 minutes, depending on the area treated and the length of time you spend been consulted by the practioneer . For a single area it takes 10-20 minutes.

How soon will I see results?

Juviderm works instantly so you will see the results straightaway.

How long will the effects last?

It will last up to 12 months. Over time the substances are broken down by the body’s enzyme systems and pass out of the body in the natural way.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects with Juvederm are rare, but may include redness, tenderness, or pain at the injection site. If these occur, they usually subside within three days. Rarely, discoloration may occur, but this is reversible. Firmness, swelling, bumps, and bruises are also rare side effects, which should subside within seven days.

Is there any downtime?

The effects of a Juvéderm™ treatment are noticeable immediately. You may go back to work or resume your normal activities as soon as your treatment is completed. There may be some slight redness or bruising where the injections were done, but these can be covered with makeup.

What is the difference between Juviderm and other derma fillers?

Collagen injections have been used for some time as dermal fillers to fill out the loss of skin volume, removing wrinkles and restoring volume to the face. Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as the Juvéderm® ULTRA range of products have now become more popular because they last longer—in the case of the Juvéderm® family, up to 1 year whereas most collagen injections tended to wear off after around 4 months

How much does it cost?

Treatment starts from £180, but the price will depend on the amount needed to treat the specific area. A consultation is recommended to receive an exact quote.

Who performs the treatment?
