A new form of laser fat removal has just arrived in the UK.

Laser Lipo with Aspiration – known simply as Laser Lipo – involves the fat being sucked out after it’s liquefied.

It’s basically liposuction but with a smaller tube, which means less downtime, scarring and pain.

A 90-minute session usually results in a whole dress size being dropped, and the results are immediate (unlike Smart Lipo, where the fat has to be processed by the body so weight loss takes between six to 12 weeks).

You can return to work the next day, although no vigorous exercise is allowed and you can expect to be sore for up to a week.

Painkillers are provided, but they aren’t always necessary, and a course of antibiotics is prescribed to reduce the risk of infection.
