More than 40 per cent of women (and 24 per cent of men) are kept awake at night by their partner’s snoring.
So are over-the-counter products any good?
Giving this verdict on the Brex Nasal Breathing Aid (£13.27, Boots_, Myles Black, an ear, nose and throat surgeon at The Private Clinic in London, says: ‘This is a pliable device with two small hollow plugs which you put inside your nostrils to open them up, so helping snoring caused by breathing through your mouth.
‘In clinical trials, it reduced snoring by more that 50 per cent. It can work, but only if eh primary cause of snoring is a floppy nasal wall. Having something put up your nose might be uncomfortable.’
