Dr. Mike Comins has joined The Private Clinic as Medical Director.
Dr. Comins is the President of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (BACD) and specialises in cosmetic medicine and minor surgical procedures. As President of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (BACD) Dr. Comins doesn’t simply follow the industry standards but he is the one setting the standards of safety and quality in the cosmetic sector, as the BACD continues to provide a platform for learning, peer review and mentoring.

Dr Comins’ experience of cosmetic procedures scans more than 10 years. He was appointed UK’s second official macrolane trainer in Feb 2008. Dr Comins is also a national trainer for Vaser lipo and the first UK doctor to have trained in the revolutionary Vaser Hi-DEF. Dr Comins had performed more Vaser treatmenst than anyone else in the UK.
Dr Comins is also the first to be appointed Honorary Lecturer for the post graduate diploma in cosmetic medicine at The Leicester University Medical School.
ENT Surgeons
Professor Yves Kamami ENT Surgeon
Doctor Kamami is a world’s leading authority in his field with over twenty years experience in a variety of ENT related procedures. He is also the person who invented the Laser Assisted Uvulopalatoplasty (LAUP) - a simple laser procedure to stop snoring, which he successfully carries out in both London and Paris.
He has published books and has written several publications on the LAUP procedure as well as lecturing and holding seminars throughout France on ENT related operations.
Professor Kamami has been performing the LAUP procedure in our London clinic in Harley Street for several years.
Mr Ian Myles Black
Mr Myles Black is a qualified Consultant ENT, Head and Neck and Thyroid surgeon. Mr Black has had extensive training for the majority of surgical subspecialities. Mr Black has been practising full time for the NHS dealing with routine paediatric and adult ENT referrals and related head, neck and thyroid conditions. Mr Myles Black performs the LAUP and radio frequency procedures at our London and Manchester clinics.
Dr John Matthews
Mr Matthews is a qualified Consultant ENT practising for 15 years. With a keen interest and experience in Rhinology, Snoring Treatment and Otology Mr Matthews performs our ENT procedures at our London clinic. Mr Matthews is a member of a wealth of organisations, namely the British Association of Otolaryngologists - Head and Neck Surgeons, British Rhinological Society and the Medical Defence Union.
Vascular Surgeons
Mr Dynesh Rittoo
Mr. Rittoo is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland. He is a consultant vascular surgeon at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital where he runs a very busy clinical practice involving all aspects of vascular surgery.
His field of expertise includes all major arterial reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, day surgery under local anaesthesia, and the diagnosis and treatment of all aspects of venous disease with Emphasis on the use of new techniques such as EVLT laser treatments which he practices at The Private Clinic of Harley Street.
Dr Taohid Oladele Oshodi
Dr Oshodi is a qualified Vascular Surgeon with over 20 years experience. His field of specialisation includes all aspects of venous disease. He is highly experienced in the latest treatments for varicose veins including the Endovenous Laser Treatment which he practices at The Private Clinic in Manchester.
Dr Oshodi is a member of the British Medical Association, Member Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland and Member of the Vascular Society.
Mr Constantinos Kyriakides
Mr Kyriakides is a qualified Consultant Vascular surgeon and a fellow of Harvard Medical School. He is a consultant to Barts and The London NHS Trust running a busy practice in all aspects of vascular surgery. Mr Kyriakides has a particular interest in the field of minimally invasive vascular surgery which he practices at The Private Clinic in Harley Street as well as investigating the role of new technologies and techniques in the management of arterial and venous disease. Mr Kyriakides is a member of a wealth of organisations, namely The Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, European Society for Vascular Surgery and Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland. Mr. Kyriakides has performed over 1500 EVLT to date.
Dr Rajiv Kumar Vohra
Dr Vohra is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Selly Oak Hospital, University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham. His academic involvement and areas of responsibility are endless, to name a few Dr Vohra is a Specialist Advisor to NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) on behalf of The Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, College Assessor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Examiner for European Board of Vascular Surgery.
Dr Vohra specialist areas are Carotid artery surgery, Bypass surgery for leg and Varicose veins. He is highly experienced in all areas of vascular surgery and Endovenous Laser Treatment for varicose veins which he practices at The Private Clinic in Birmingham.

Dr. Raghu Reddy - Surgeon, MBBS, MRCGP
Dr Reddy is a certified doctor and a member of the British Medical Association. Having qualified in 2000 with a Bachelors in Surgery and medicine, he underwent Basic Surgical Training in the South West of Scotland Deanery.
Dr. Reddy has spent years perfecting an advanced method of Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), for better results and less downtime. The Advanced Technique is a great leap in advancement compared with other traditional techniques.

Dr. Dennis Wolf
Dr Dennis Wolf is a highly qualified cosmetic doctor with great surgical experience mainly in ENT with over 8 years experience at some of the larger London teaching hospitals including St Georges’ Hospital and The Royal Marsden.
His ENT experience affords him expert knowledge of facial aesthetics for injectable treatments such as Botox and fillers. He is trained in Advanced Laser Lipolysis (SmartLipo), VASER Liposelection and he is an approved Macrolane VRF Physician for breast reshaping, volume restoration and contouring of the body. He is highly experienced in Vaser liposuction procedures for fat removal and is also one of few UK doctors trained in the revolutionary Vaser High-Def.

Dr. Puneet Gupta
Dr. Puneet Gupta is a qualified GP specialised in dermatology and also specialises in body sculpture using Vaser Liposuction. He is a Member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dermatologists and of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr Gupta is highly experienced for his advanced approach to body sculpting at The Private Clinic and prides himself in his innovative approach. He has had advanced training in Microcannular Liposuction using tumescent anaesthesia in the USA by the inventor of tumescent technique. With Dr. Gupta, The Private Clinic is the only clinic in Europe to offer Microcannular Tumescent liposuction.
Dr Cyrille Blum studied medicine at the University of Paris and trained in medical and surgical services at Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, France, where he received his medical doctorate in 1977. He completed his medical fellowship in Paris. He spent five years with Médecins Sans Frontières.Dr Blum has a vast experience for precision facial sculpting. He is an expert in the use of natural filling agents for lip enhancement, filling of deep wrinkles, restoration of lost facial volume, and facial reconstruction. He is certified in the use of botox and fillers including Restylane®, Perlane® and also certified in the use of IPL and Pixel Laser all offered at The Private Clinic.
Dr Blum now resides in London. He is registered with Conseil de l’Ordre des Médecins (France), General Medical Council (UK) and is a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors.
Mr Miles Quentin Apthorp
Mr Apthorp studied at the University of St George’s Medical and has a wide range of experience in aesthetics and is certificated in Botox and fillers. Mr Apthorp has been a Consultant Anaesthetist for 7 years at the Homerton Hospital and his specialties include anaesthesia for ENT, Gynaecology, Major Bowel, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Emergency and all forms of Day Surgery.
His cosmetic interest screens further to Vaser Lipo and Macrolane being trained by Dr Mike Comins himself which he now practices at The Private Clinic.
Dr Paul Cronin Dr Paul Cronin is a specialist in Cosmetic Medicine. He is one of the committee members of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors and is currently co-ordinating the development of the new Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine. A recognised expert in the field he specialises in Macrolane and Vaser Lipo at the Private Clinic in Manchester.

Clare Marfleet
Appointed as Medical Manager at the beginning of 2008, Clare is a qualified nurse with practical and managerial experience in aesthetics since 2001. She is specialised in all laser and light treatments, Chemical Peels and ENT procedures.
Sharon Brown
Sharon is one of the country leading experts in administering Sculptra™, one of the most successful filler used in aesthetic treatments today. She is one of only two nurses on the advisory panel of Sanofi –Aventis which distribute Sculptra™ in the UK and their designated trainer both within the NHS and Private Sector.
She administer Sculptra for reducing the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles and adding lost volume to give clients a natural looking fuller face.
Wendy Riches
A qualified registered general nurse since 1979, Wendy has been specialising in Aesthetics since 2001, working with laser and light technologies for both the NHS and the private sector. Wendy specialises in Skin Rejuvenation and provides the Anti-aging treatments Botox, Sculptra, Dermal Fillers and Chemical Peels. Wendy has been a valued member of our medical staff since 2005.
Marie Narsoomamode
Graduated with an Honours Degree in Nursing and Health Studies, Marie is trained and qualified in the use of Lasers and IPL in Dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Marie has worked for the past 12 Years between the NHS and the private sector. Special fields of interest are Dermal Fillers, Botox, Laser Hair Removal, Photo Rejuvenation for Rosecea, pigmentation and facial telangectasia, and Mesotherapy to achieve cellulite reduction. She is a member of the Royal College Of Nursing.
Maria Phillips
A qualified Registered Nurse since 2006 Maria has expereince in Botox and Injectables within the Aesthetics Field since 2007. Maria will be specialising in Facial rejuvenation, Laser Hair Removal and consulting for non invasive procedures at The Private Clinic.
Samantha Stirzaker
Fully qualified Registered Nurse and beauty therapist specialising in lasers, in particular hair removal. Sam worked in Australia as a head therapist for three years before returning to the UK to train as a nurse. Sam has developed a passion for assisting surgeons, especially in the EVLT procedure.
Elizabeth Taperek
A qualified nurse with extended experience in Laser treatments as well as Botox, Fillers and Peels.
Laser Aestheticians
A qualified beauty therapist and laser practitioner since 2004, Rachel has worked in the aesthetic industry for several years. In 2006 she achieved a BTEC award in laser and Intense Pulse Light. She has been working at The Private Clinic since 2007 and has a specialist interest in problematic skin, particularly Acne.
Grazyna Richmond
A quailified nurse and beauty therapist, Grazyna has worked in aesthetics for many years. She also leads the medical assessments in our snoring cessation and ENT related procedures.
Regional Manager
Rachel joined The Private Clinic Team as Regional Manager in July 2009. Rachel qualified as a registered general nurse in 1991.
With 11 years experience in both Aesthetic practice and a background in the cosmetic industry Rachel leads the Northern Clinics in Clinical Excellence and Patient Care. Rachel is an experienced Dermal Filler Practitioner and is extensively experienced in managing patients treatment paths so they get the very most out of their aesthetic investments. Rachel is trained in laser technologies, light treatments, Skin Peels Botox and management of post surgical patients.
Clinic Managers
Tracy joined the team in March 2010 and manages the Birmingham Clinic. Traci has excellent communication skills and strives to deliver on all levels so to ensure that every patients journey is successful. Traci has a sound background in the cosmetic industry and consults for all treatments available at The Priavte Clinic.
Natasha Bennett
Managing the Manchester Clinic Natasha joined the team in May 2009. Natasha is a ITEC qualified beauty therapist and aesthetician and specialises in IPL light therapy. Natasha consults for all treatments available at The Private Clinic and has a vast amount of experience in the cosmetic sector. Natasha worked as a trainer for an international skin care brand prior to joining The Private Clinic.
