What is Restylane?

Restylane is the world's most used, most studied dermal filler and it is estimated that since its launch in 1996 over 4 million treatments have been carried out worldwide.

Restylane is a gel that is injected into the skin in order to replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin.

It consists of stabilised hyaluronic acid, a natural substance already present in the body, which is slowly broken down within the skin.

Restylane is approved for treating moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

It adds natural volume to smooth away moderate facial wrinkles and folds, resulting in a healthier, more youthful appearance.

The result is instant and Restylane gives you long-lasting and natural enhancement.

While some dermal fillers are derived from animal substances, the hyaluronic acid in RESTYLANE is non-animal. This limits any risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reactions

How is the treatment performed?

Restylane is injected directly into the skin in small amounts by an ultrafine needle. The gel produces volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. When enhancing lips or facial contours, Restylane adds volume and shape to the treated area.

How long is a treament?

The treatment is quick and simple.

It generally takes 30 minutes, depending on the area treated.

As Restylane does not require an allergy test and can be administered immediately, there is no waiting for treatments.

Is the treament painful?

Most people find the injections relatively painless. However as with all injections, some patients may experience discomfort.

A topical anaesthetic will be applied to the area being treated prior to the procedure. .

When can I see same results?

The results can be seen immediately.

How will I look after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, you can expect slight redness, swelling, tenderness or an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally disappears within a few days.

After a lip treatment, the lips may become swollen and look somewhat uneven. This can persist for a few days (up to a week).

Mineral make-up can be re-applied after the procedure.

What is the difference between Perlane and Restylane?

The difference between Restylane and Perlane is the size of the particle. Perlane is composed of larger gel particles than Restylane and is intended for deeper injection to add volume for structural support and lift.

The availability of both products provides us with different treatment options. Your consultant can best determine the most suitable treatment for your needs.

How much does it cost?

Restylane treatments start from £180. However, the exact price is completely individual and depends on many factors and can only be properly determined by our fully qualified Doctor or Nurse who will assess your condition.

This consultation is completely free and our friendly and highly professional staff will guide you to the most suitable treatment options for you.

At the Private Clinic we have developed a policy to offer the best advanced treatments at the most competitive and affordable prices. Our aim is to provide Harley Street Service at High Street prices.
