A team of experts in the field of skin rejuvenation have come together to design a new
course of treatments that provide patients with the anti-ageing effects of a facelift,
without any of the risks, inconvenience or recovery time of traditional surgery.
The Rejuvenation Clinic, based at the London and Manchester offices of The Private Clinic,
yesterday unveiled the Non-Surgical Facelift. This three-stage treatment, involving laser
skin resurfacing, dermatological treatments to wrinkles and selected use of dermal
fillers, achieves a youthful look without the need for invasive surgery and the downtime
that involves.
The team of dermatologists, medical aesthetic specialists, nurse practitioners and laser
aestheticians combine to deliver a package tailored to each individual patient that is
aimed at producing similar results to a facelift for those who prefer not to go under the
knife.
For immediate results, a muscle relaxant is applied to the upper third of the face to
reduce frown lines and crows feet. Laser skin resurfacing is then used on the face,
chest and hands to rejuvenate any damaged skin areas and give a more youthful appearance.
The final stage of the treatment involves the use of dermal fillers in selected areas of
the nose-to-mouth area to improve the appearance of deep lines and folds.
Dr Puneet Gupta is based at the Rejuvenate Clinic and is an Associate member of the
British Association of Cosmetic Dermatologists (BACD) and of the American Academy of
Aesthetic Medicine. He said: The effect that is achieved with the procedure is that
of an overall facelift.
The treatment includes using a Pixel Laser to re-surface the skin, followed by muscle
relaxant injections to refine the fine lines on the forehead and around the eyes. Finally,
to achieve a fully refreshed youthful appearance, dermal fillers are used around the mouth
to fill out deeper lines which are tell-tale signs of ageing.
